Magazine and journal writing:
I have enjoyed my marriage with Canadian-based Inside SOCCER magazine (ISM). With the grand title of Senior Staff Writer I have taken great pride in my work with such a fine publication seeing it grow from a regional newsletter to an internationally recognized gloss filled sports mag. I have learned a great deal from Publisher Alfons Rubbens. Producing a magazine about the global round ball in a land that eats, drinks and sleeps with frozen discs is a labour of love not a positive exercise in hard print capitalism. To compliment my work with ISM I am eager for the challenge of writing about football places and soccer faces all with a distinctive Canadiana feel.

Web content freelance writing:
For years I had pledged that nothing beats a good book, newspaper article or a topical magazine while sitting on the throne. I was convinced that web content could not be excavated in certain environments. Strangely I cut my teeth in the wacky world of web content writing and have recently discovered that life on the internet isn't all that bad. I am quite willing and able to contribute such information sharing Involving writing fresh content or updating existing content for any client's web site.

Although weaned on a diet of researching the old fashioned way through the Periodical Index I have learned to live comfortably with Search Engines.
Freelance technical writing:
It is a hard sell trying to flog artificial grass to the people who flog lawnmowers but for yours truly there is always a storyline - a challenge to uncover a yarn or two to support both product and reader. The business of sports always uncovers many tales. I have grown up as a writer, offering multiple tales about sporting spaces. Uncovering a soccer/ football ground on North American shores is just a passionate affair for me that gets rekindled every time a 'new-build' pops up on the North American sports landscape.
Freelance blog writing:
Everyone has an opinion...right?? My wife, Belinda, claims that I need an attitude adjustment because of my opinion. Blogging has emerged as a smart, economical way to get noticed. What a coincidence! A freelance writer with an opinion at your disposal.
Radio Appearances:
My two boys tell me that I have a great face for radio. Even though radio is not my first love I have been known to spew out an intelligent comment or two during past radio spots from Yellowknife to St. John's and a few places in between.
Brokering the One-Off:
During my journalistic travels I have met many fine writers and photojournalists who are passionate about their craft. What makes them tick, makes me tick. Don't be shy. If I'm not your man I would be happy to drop you a name or two.
